Is the remote Mac headless (no display)?
It is headless.
That's what I thought.
I had similar problems with a couple of headless Mac minis that I had been hosting at MacMiniColo.

I had them add these to my minis, and all of the screen redraw issues went away.

I got fit-Headless HDMI dongles which will fit into MacMini's that are in the Sonnet's RackMac Minis in my data cage.
P.S. Got my MacPro in the data cage with my EMR solution for my office running today. That is one nice piece of hardware! The girls in my office said it looked like a trash can, and I said it was the fastest Darth Vader Trash Can they had ever seen!
