navigating to a record using RecordID ?

300 articles, evenly defined in 3 families

When navigating from family to family, I wanna land at my last visited record from that family.

So if earlier today, I was in family A, and visited record 25 of that family, when I return to family A after having been to other families, I want to see that record 25 again (25/100).

I used get(RecordNumber) for this : so upon entry on a record, the record number is registered in a global, to be able to get back to it afterwards.

"Go to record" works fine.

However, when a record is deleted afterwards, the recordnumber becomes recordnumber-1, so when going back to the family later, you land on the next record.

==> In my earlier example : If record 10 is deleted, record 25 becomes record 24, however, in my global there is "25" stored ==> navigation later isn't correct.

Can't solve this with RecordID because "Go To Record" using the RecorNUMBER.

Any simple other way to do this ?
