The new Apple C programming language replacing Objective C sure sounds impressive: Swift. It actually talks about being useful for scripting and playgrounds for testing things like we do in the FileMaker debugger live. Makes you wonder if it will make it into FileMaker scripting... or maybe even via a third party like Groovy is with Scriptmaster. I'm sure FileMaker Inc. has to be looking at Swift now that Apple has thrown all its weight behind it and is deprecating Objective C.
