Does anybody know of a way of rotating text 45 degrees - I assume it would need a plug in, does one exist?
Thanks in advance
Label text or content?
The label has several text fields, all need to be rotated if the barcode is horizontal.
Well, there is a "work around" dodgie brothers band aid not highly recommended way...
You can use the chart maker to display values on the X axis at any angle you wish. As long as the values you want to display are stored in the database (you can always build a table for them if you don't), then create a chart, put the lables on x axis at 45 degrees and then layer other objects over the chart so that all you see as the end result is the text on an angle.
the enclosed file is just a quick sample (day names came from a table)
I'll have a look.
If the text is an graphic object, you could use something like the Monkey Bread Software plugin. But I think you are talking about regular text. Probably the easiest way would be to put the text in a web portal and write html and use CSS to rotate it or do whatever effects you want. At least that is what I would try first.
I had a look at the MBS plugin, couldn't work it out!
Never written html, I'll look into it.
The easiest would be to get the client to change the label, there's no reason for the barcode to at 45 degrees.
Well, if it's a normal html, some CSS may help.
For images you can use GMImage.Rotate function in our MBS Plugin:
If you need to put text in a PDF, you can use DynaPDF functions and the GraphicsMagick functions in plugin can also annotate images with new text which could be rotated.
It's been a feature request of mine for quite a while. Rotation, other than 90˚ increments.
Also, the ability to rotate container objects like portals, and have all of the contained objects within it rotate with the parent object.
I have asked my client to change the design, we'll see if he obliges.
Thanks to all for your contributions.
