Is it still not possible to script the view status of the formatting bar?
I'm realizing that this is a fairly large oversight if it hasn't been fixed yet.
Script step “Allow Formatting Bar” [on/off].
OK, this is one of the instances where one needs to have humor for not seing things when looking. ;-)
But then again one might be inclined to look for this in the windows section, as I did, rather than the miscellaneous section.
set this to off hide the bar, but set to on will not show the bar if user didn't view it.
This script step only enables a button being displayed in the toolbar and turns on a menu options rendering it awkward for my solutions. Since in my solutions I always hide the toolbar.
I wrote a feature request to FM stating so, asking for a show/hide formatting bar command.
What I would like to do is as follows:
user clicks on text field
displays text ruler
displays formatting bar
Or at least I would like to get as close to the above as possible.
see if this article helps:
Thank you Beverly
This would solve the problem but I need to test it as there is a line saying that this applies to locally hosted files only.
My solutions are normally all served by FM server.
Or does this perhaps only apply while initially setting this up?
