Are you trying to store a temp file while using Go, or what?
iDevices don't support file folder structures in the iOS, but there are ways to create temp files for use during scripted actions.
Please clarify your needs.
I have a solution comprised of 11 Dbs with unique data for each day of the week.
I need them segregated by date. If I move them all over to the IPad under FMGo into1 list, there will be confusion and file name conflicts that are unmanageble.
Thanks for your help.
This sounds like an old multi-file system that was migrated rather than rebuilt from pre-7 days when each table had to have its own file.
Have you considered importing the file structures into new tables within the same file, and repointing the TOs in your main file from the other files to the added tables?
Then you would have a single-file solution with essentially the same data structure.
Stephen: Yes, I've considered it but decided against it. The master db is already huge, and I don't want to add any more to it. Thanks.
Dave wrote, in part: The master db is already huge, and I don't want to add any more to it.
It might be time for a rebuild and revised data structure anyway in that case. How huge?
Keep in mind that the combined size of the 11 files is the real size of your solution. A solution's total overhead is actually reduced by adding multiple tables instead of multiple files to a solution. Eleven tables are smaller than 11 files which contain 1@ of those same tables.
And you can manage all the relationships and accounts from a single place in one file.
