I cannot seem to find the info I found before on having multiple server locations with the same data. I understand the database file cannot be the same, but the data can be the same. ODBC? Backup sync? Redundant data?
I am looking at speed for international offices that need access to the same data globally. I do not need an iPad in Germany logging into the server in the USA when I could have a server in a German office with identicval data. How are people doing this? Also looking at the benefits of splitting processing load over a number of 4 core servers vs one 8 or 12 core server if possible. What happens when a 12 core server is not enough?
I understand how I can setup multiple web publishing servers, but I am not looking at that. I have considered the idea of downloading the file to the local clients and syncing, but I just do not like the issues it has.
