On OSX I believe you should be able to have FileMaker execute an AppleScript that looks something like this to have some other process move to the foreground:
tell application "System Events"
set frontmost of process "Finder" to true
Sorry to say that I don't know the equivalent for a Windows machine.
We're actually in a mixed environment on this one and unfortunately it is the Windows side we're having problems with.
Do you want to minimize FM or just push it to the background?
A VBscript on Windows would do it, executed by Send Event.
Okay, its about time for me to learn a little VBscript then I guess.
This is a sample to use as Send Event option text: . Change "Chess" to your application window title to bring.
Thanks, I'll give this a go and see where I can get with it. I generally stay in FileMaker as much as possible but it is always good to have a few extra tools in the tool box.
