The thread shows a solution for mac. What is your problem ?
Do you need windows solution ?
Send Event [ "avet" ; "pdoc" ; "$Path" ]
Works on windows with Adobe Reader.
Thank you / that was helpful.
However this can only be done when the document (pdf) is stored extrernally (e.g. on your C drive).
So with SendEvent you are targetting the pdf on your C drive and printing from there.
My goal was to print from the container field in filemaker ; so no reference to "$Path" would be needed.
Can this be done ?
If you are displaying the PDF interactively you should be able to use the PDF control to print. However, I am finding a very long delay. The printer dialog opens but after I click Print it seems to lockup. After about 3+ minutes it finally prints. This could be because the document using secure storage? I am also connecting via a vpn?
The delay is much longer with FM 12 then FM 13.
To get around this I use a print script and export the document to the temporary folder then use Send Event ( "avet" ; "pdoc" ; "$Path" ).
I’m looking for a way to print automatically from script without user interference (so no clicking required), after a RFID scan, and this in an as short possible time frame (in line printing ; needs to be able to keep up with the process speed of the machine).
So quick printing & “handsfree” printing are crucial.
1. RFID scan
2. Identification of productID
3. Quick & Automatically printing of product documents before the next RFID is presented
Thx anyway for your input.

The print script I described is pretty fast.
Presumably you are running a script to capture the RFID scan and locate the product. I would try incoorporating this print method and see if it's fast enough.
