FMS binds to the Default/Primary Ethernet connection. The selection may be part of the launch process and not the install.
To control which one is used you could disable the one you don't want it to bind to then do the install/launch. It will bind to the only active Ethernet connection. Then turn on the other one.
Or switch the second ethernet connection to be the Default/Primary. But that also might switch the Web Service.
I can't guarantee it won't switch if the computer or FMS is restarted. But, you could use the same process again if it does switch.
Are you sure about that? I’m not, though I’ve not tested it. I have a Mac Mini Server with a fixed IP ethernet address and a local wifi connection for my Apple TVs in the waiting areas. I think Fax Server and iTunes will respond to either connection? I would think that it would only be ports that would be process specific and not IPs.
Am I sure FMS binds to the Ethernet Connection? Yes, its been that way for a very long time and noted as such by other developers. (Though I doubt I can find a reference to it on this list).
Am I sure about it switching connections if the primary Ethernet connections is changed? No.
