Chrome is suppoted browser on both Windows and Mac, and it may work with WEBD run on Linux.
Tested quickly on Ubuntu with Chromium and also on Mint with Firefox. Seems to generally work. I expect broader support as webd matures.
I know there's probably not many users on Linux, but it is easy enough to set up and test your webdirect solutions for free with virtualbox.
Hope this helps.
Great... that is what I was expecting that it generally would work. It could be there is a feature or two that doesn't work properly. But I've done lots of work around in converting normal FileMaker client layouts to work in WebDirect since it usually involves some tweaking anyway.
Thanks for giving it a test!
Also tested linux/chrome, works for the few solutions I tested.
Standard developers message of "Other browsers may work even if they are not in the supported browsers list".
I agree, compatibility will probably only increase as WebDirect matures.
I know people are already using mobile OS browsers in the wild to access WebDirect, especially on that "other" mobile platform, even with it not being on the supported browser list.
