I know if I change all of the merge fields to button objects it will work. This is for an existing solution that has a lot of merge fields being used as buttons and I was hoping not to change all of them to buttom object, but I may have to.
It's not obvious in the documentation, but any layout changes that aren't fully saved to a style and theme, don't render in WD. If you click one of the problem items and look at the Inspector/Styles tab, I suspect the arrow will be red. If so, click on the arrow and save the changes either to the current style, or a new style, and then save the change to the Theme also.
Hopefully it will then render as expected.
Nope. All of the styles are saved and the style sheet saved. No red arrows.
Ended up changing all of the merge fields being used as buttons into native button objects. They render more consistently. This seems to be a bug in WD. Unsaved styles will render the way that I want, as soon as they get saved the don't.
