While uploading a zip file to an FTP remote location from PSOS , its showing error as
Error: Software caused connection abort: socket write error FTPeek
Does the fmforums site changed to another domain , its not opening ??
FMForums is a different blog than this one and started long before FileMaker started TechNet. I just went to it and its working for me. Just making sure you see these are two different systems.
Apparently FTPeek isn't seeing the FTP server you are trying to connect to. Have you tried using an FTP application to see if it is connecting properly and if the user ID and password is working? If you have done that, next make sure the server you are running the PSOS on does not have a firewall blocking the FTP port 21.
Thanks for the reply.
I have tried a few hit n trials method to FTPeek upload function and found out that i have connected to FTP server long before the execution of actual upload method .As a result , the connection was TIMED OUT and then ,again when i try to connect the FTP Server and uploading some data , its showing "Error: Software caused connection abort: socket write error FTPeek" .
So , i have put the FTP connection just before the Uploading data function and not at the start of the script.
FMForums is a different entity than filemaker technet , i know . But , its not opening.
Do you have access to the server or can you screen share to it? If so, try running an FTP program and seeing if you can manually connect.
I mostly use the Monkey Bread Software (MBS) plugin since it does so many things, one of which is having the entire CURL library along with ftp/ftps/sftp/http/https protocols. But I have to say FTPeek is a much easier plugin to use for just FTPing.
Did you look at the FTPeek log files? They should be at /Library/Logs/360Plugin Logs or C:/Documents and Settings/My Documents/360Plugin Logs
FYI, FMForums is working just fine for me. Maybe you could try a different DNS like maybe Google's DNS of 188.8.131.52. See if that helps.
The FTP plugin is working good now bcoz i used to connect to FTP when there is a requirement so that timeout will not occur.
