Sure. Just use a summary field and sort by lead type.

My drop down list that contains "repeat" "google" etc come from a value list not individual fields so I can't sort by lead types, or at least I cant see where to.
What Mike was referring to was that you should create a new field of type = Summary, e.g. called Count of Leads that is count of your LEAD field.
Then sort your records by the LEAD field, create a new layout with a sub summary part and put thew new Count of Leads field on that sub summary part and you should see a breakdown of the count for each value in the LEAD field.

A value list is just a collection of, well, values. It has no data implications other than being a repository of choices. The actual values stored in the fields in the database are what you’re after.
