I updated the server and all settings are gone, just everything. I have to set up all new. Any one has a idea to fix that?
Did you save out your settings and scheduled before updating? That's what it is there for
Is this Windows or Mac? If Windows, go back to your last restore point which should bring you back to the previous build of FMS and then save out the settings and schedules.
On Mac, if you have time machine, restore the the last one before your update and do the same same.
if you have a FM server under yousemite, you have only one option.
1) update is useless. Forget it.
2) uninstall server, via v2 or v5 installer. Reinstall with the v5.
Thanks very helpful.
windecorte answer solved the issue, thanks
Wim - It's not quite clear whether, with FMS 13.04 installed on 10.9, if we are to uninstall server, then update OS X to 10.10, and then install FMS 13.05. At the start of the reference for this (via link on the downloads page) this is what it suggests, but later on it seems to tell you that you can update to OS X 10.10 and then uninstall FMS 13.04 and reinstall 13.05. This would seem more in keeping with the intent.
I would uninstall FMS first, before upgrading the OS. Less things for the upgrade process to work through.
thanks got it handled.
Taking your suggestion, Wim (thanks), what isn't mentioned is that one must reinstall 13.03 to be able to then upgrade to 13.05. That took a little more time. But now, I'm having all sorts of problems trying to get to the admin-console from another MBPro on the same LAN. Never had this before the upgrade to OS X 10.1.1 or the update to FMS 13.05.
I've checked the router and ports 16000-16024 are open to the server machine. I can't seem to figure out what's precluding this lack of access.
