Are your ODBC drivers / DSNs setup on your server or on your computer?
A user browser does not have any access to system DSNs via webdirect, so the connection needs to be made on the server.
page 34 covers ODBC data with WebDirect.
the Filemaker server has both the 32 and 64 bit DSN's set up. Does the DSN need to be set on the user PC ?
Will check the documentation link.
For FM Server on Windows, you use the 64 bit DSN and set it up as a System DSN (as opposed to a User DSN). End users do not need to have any ODBC set up on their PC, since the connection is made at the server.
Everything appeared to be correct but still didn't work so I created a new DSN and assigned it in the external data source management tool and now it is working. No idea why the initial one didn't work. Also, any ideas on why the odbc connection would work when in Filemaker with no issues but not when displayed in WebDirect ?
Thanks for everyone's help.
