Do you mean you want to allow the user to enter Find criteria, and then proceed, or do you simply have Find requests you want to process?
If it's the former, then when the user presses "Return" or "Enter", the script will proceed automatically.
If it's the latter, then simply using the Perform Find script step will cause the script to proceed.
I'm a little confused at exactly what the issue is. Please elaborate.
The Find crteria are being selected from a value list set to be equal to the field's contents in the database.
I am seeking to eliminate the extra step to either hit return, enter, or the continue button. It's just a matter of one less click for the user.
Thanks for your reply.
would these help?
I guess it might depend on what's the "last" entry (to call the script trigger) and whether fields are allowed to be empty. Is this a complex form with many selections or a simple selection?
Another option is to spawn a popover or list view window with the available options in it (instead of a value list). Let the user click the desired value, which triggers a script to populate the field and perform the Find.
Also, one additional consideration: It's possible for users to click the wrong thing. Use caution when trying to make things more efficient that you don't make things annoying by invoking the, "Dangnabit! I didn't mean to click that!" problem.
