Upgrading from FMS 11 to FMS 13

I have a two machine FMS 11 installation using custom web publishing with PHP using IIS. The website and publishing engine on one machine running Windows server 2008 R2 SP 1. The database on another Windows 2008 R2 SP 1 machine. The website is setup using the ‘Default Web Site’ in the wwwroot. I will be uninstalling FMS 11 on these two machines and installing FMS 13.

As I understand the documentation, the FMS 13 installation will disable ‘Default Web Site’ in wwwroot and install FMWebSite (Getting Started Guide, chapter 7, pg 69)

The Custom Web Publishing with PHP in chapter 4 pg 25 states:

  1. 4. Copy or move your site directory structure and files to the following folder on the web server.

1For IIS (Windows) through HTTP or HTTPS: [drive]:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Server\HTTPServer\Conf where [drive] is the drive on which the Web Publishing Engine component of your FileMaker server deployment resides.

  1. 8. Make the site available and known to users. The URL that the web user enters follows this format:

1<server> is the machine on which the FileMaker Server resides

1<site_path> is the relative path to the home page for your site, determined by the directory structure you used in step 4 above.

For example, if your web server is and your site home page is on the web server at c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\customers\index.php, then the web user would enter this URL:

So I’m confused on where to move my web structure presently located in ‘Default Web Site’.
