Currently I'd like to block someone due to spamming?
I don't see a way to block this person myself easily.
For the time being I can only add a rule to my mail to mark all emails with 9958802839 inside as spam.
Is the content actually Spam, or are you trying to block someone you wouldn't like to hear from. If it's actually Spam, it would be helpful to have it reported to us by using the "Report Abuse" link on the right side of a post (or under "Actions" for a comment/reply).
Let me know,
I did abuse link this morning for two postings.
But until FM reacts I'd like to be able to hide all postings from a person.
Thanks for reporting the abuse. We have removed all of their posts and disabled their accounts. Unfortunately you cannot hide all posts from someone.
Thanks for your help.
Other accounts SPAMing now...
Don't you think about blocking CJK characters from main Discussion place ? There are spaces for each language, so rarely need to speak CJK language there.
couldn't you add a function to MBS plugin to sync all users to a specific target so we could strike back to those chinese spammers with a DDoS attack (distributed denial of service)?
Is it still true that we cannot hide all posts from someone? I thought that somewhere along the line this was identified as an available forum feature.
I'm not aware of a way to for you to suppress a single community member's posts. I can't find anything like that when searching through Jive's features. I don't see anything for blocking specific members from seeing your content either.
I read on the Jive forums a bit ago about how "Jive is not a social network. Its used for business..." blah blah. The end of the conversation was, submit an idea. They feel that everyone using a Jive instance wants to be best friends.
but there a personality conflicts that it would be nice to 'disable-for-now', when report-as-abuse just isn't warranted.
Oh. Sorry. I didn't intend on that sounding like I was defending Jive's reasoning for it. I forgot my <sarcasm> tags.
I totally agree Jive needs to add that feature. If nothing else, an ability to "mute" a user would be good. There aren't many I'd need it for, but a few.
