I have some FileMaker Servers currently running:
- FileMaker Server 13.0v5
- Mac OS X 10.9.5
I need to upgrade them to Mac OS 10.10/Yosemite due to IT policies. Can I simply stop FileMaker Server then install Yosemite, or do I need to uninstall FileMaker Server, install Yosemite and then reinstall FileMaker Server?
Theoretically, since you are already running FileMaker Server 13.0v5, you should be able to upgrade to Yosemite directly. Obviously, shut down all the FileMaker Server services before running the OS upgrade. Having said that, there have been some issues even with this that required an uninstall and reinstall of FileMaker Server 13.
