I don't think it's supported. The only way I could get around it was to create multiple emails, one pdf each. Horrible...
"When you save records as a PDF file, FileMaker Go uses the name of the window for the PDF filename."
So, your possibility is
change the existing PDF filename to the window name
change window name to the filename
Oops, I hadn't search whole the document.
It says in another page
Some Save Records as PDF script step options aren’t supported:
- appending records to an existing PDF
- selecting the Acrobat version
- selecting Printing and Editing options on the Security tab
- deselecting the option that allows screen reading software
- options on the Initial View tab
then, you have no chance...
I think it is better to contain such a things into help file. Only saying "supported in FMGo" in script step section is not helpful.
Append PDF is not supported for IOS and server. To run the Append PDF you need to run this script on a connected FMP client. Also sometimes called 'Robot Machine'.
As appending is not supported in FileMaker Go, then the 'robot machine' technique is one option, and another that I have successfully implemented is to submit each PDF generated by FileMaker Go to a php script on a web server to do the appending of the PDFs and then return the finished PDF to a container field in FileMaker Go… The FPDI php class can be used for this.
Each PDF sent this way can be Base64Encoded in order to POST it to the php script….
Anyway, it works very well :-)
