How do I remove my account from FileMaker Community?
I'm so sick and tired of the emails that I've tried to change in preferences yet they keep coming.
Change your email as a temp fix until you figure it out? I suspect, most of the people who can answer the questions are no longer here.
It's driving me crazy. Almost as soon as I.joined I realised.FileMaker would not work for us.
Now I am stuck with emails.
FileMaker = SpamGenerator
FileMaker is not a spam generator. But if you insist on not using the valuable assets filemaker has to offer, then:
click on your name in the toolbar at the top when logged in.
click "edit profile"
click "your profile" tab
select "end membership" at the bottom of the form
I found that in about fifteen seconds, if you couldn't find it than I'm guessing you weren't finding the right email settings either.
But again, FileMaker is not a spam generator, far from it compared to other mailing lists I am a part of.
Fully concur, Mike. I don't believe I've ever gotten any spam as a result of my participation in the forum (TechNet days or Community).
If you would like to end your membership, then go to Edit your Profile and click "End Membership" at the very bottom. This takes up to 24 hours to process, but your account will be removed at that point.
If you would like to stop receiving Community emails, this can be changed as part of your preferences. Just click on your name in the blue navigation bar, then click "Preferences". From there you can turn on or off your email notifications.
btw: Maybe the default could be changed to 'no email'.. I was surprised as well after joining the forums
