Hostname is set in DNS server or OS. Can't be changed from fmserver.
You don't see hostname in admin console, then may not need re-deploying when hostname is changed. It will need when IP address is changed.
Dear user 19752,
thanks for your input. I am aware of DNS and how it works. I mean something different. Maybe, my original posting was not precise enough. I add two screenshots to clarify. Here you may change FileMaker Server's hostname:
The new Hostname is reflected under „FilkeMaker-Host-Name", but not updated under „Web-Server IP-Adresse":
Question: Where can this Web-Server-Hostname be edited?
Are you using 2 server deplonment and web server is changed?
I think you need re-deploying server, from menu on top right in admin console
"server">"edit deployment" (sorry I don't see it in English)
No, just 1 machine. As I mentioned in my original post, re-deploying is no option for us.
I wonder why "IP address" shows hostname, but changing FileMaker-Host-Name" in admin console doesn't affect any DNS things, so you don't need changing "Web-Server" hostname.
If you change hostname in OS settings or DNS, you need, but I don't know other than re-deploying, sorry.
It may depend on your webserver, but I don't know editting it resolve the problem or not.
