    Apple Buys another Database company

Based on the article this may nothing to do with FileMaker. But interesting anyway.

Apple Acquires 'Rock-Solid High-Performance' Database Company FoundationDB - Mac Rumors

FoundationDB is not a front-end package, just a core-db arch type, so I wouldn't consider it to have anything to do with FileMaker. Most likely they'll be using it's technology to improve core database transaction performance on their existing large data applications (EG iTunes library). Thanks for posting the story though, NoSQL stuff is a pretty interesting "counter culture" field to develop in.
