This is 0, and the screen show there is a 0x1 in somewhere.
DDR error occurs when control codes in layout, etc.

Reprecation is easy, go to layout mode, create text object, type ALT+011 (on windows) to enter a control char, then making DDR cause "SaxParseException".
OK read the other thread, and I agree with the control character issues, my original question is still unanswered though, should this prevent a DDR from being created though. Would it be better reported in the finished DDR as an error in some way? That is why we do DDR's in the first place, and follow up with inspections in tools like Base Elements. If we cannot get that far surely it is a FileMaker issue to deal with, that is why I asked the question on it being a BUG !!
Please report as bug, if you want to be fixed.
The error was resolved once in FM12, but DDR output the control chars as converted to "?" like
I don't like both (error nor converted), but I don't need control chars in layout.
