Pause/Resume Script [0.01sec]
where you want to refresh window. (I don't know why, the "Refresh Window" step is WEBD compatible but not work for this purpose.)
Thanks for your suggestion.
Unfortunately it did not solve the problem.
See the attached screen video.
So, the very first script step in the startup script is 'hide and lock the menu bar'.
That step is apparently completely skipped and ignored.
As long as the startup script is running on the server Webdirect users have access to the file button and its unwanted subfunctions.
Does anyone know how we can suppress this?
There might be some misconception here. The menu bar and toolbar are both locked. The menu bar is the first bar on the top: Screen Shot 2015-06-08 at 2.36.41 PM.png, which you are not showing,
The toolbars is this: Screen Shot 2015-06-08 at 2.37.58 PM.png
I think what you want to hide is the header area where you store your own menu.
I would recommend hiding your navigation (button) bar based on some condition such as this: Screen Shot 2015-06-08 at 2.39.28 PM.png
Hope this helps,
both the toolbar and menubar are hidden and locked in the first scriptsteps of the startup script.
What I want to hide is the bar and button you see on the screenshot.
You call this a navigatoin button bar. As far as I know there is no scriptstep to hide that button bar.
Where can I find that object in order to link a hide condition to it?
- Enter Layout Mode.
- Select on the icon on the top left.
- Go to Inspector/Data/Behavior and enter your preferred calculation in the "Hide Object When" box.
You'll quite possibly will have to do the same for the rectangle adjacent to the icon.
The icon is not in layout. It is WEBD's "menu bar".
Yes, I also see the icon about 0.5 sec although the pause is 0.01 sec. (I don't know which level of fraction is usable in the step... 0.1? 0.01? 0.001=1ms?)
OTOH, tool bar is hidden immediately.
So this is only a half workaround, you are better to do bug report.
Here is an example of one of my databases accessed with Web Direct: Image 2015-06-08 at 9.18.59 PM.png
You do not see that bar here, therefore that bar is part of your solution, not WebDirect.
Hope this helps,
Your FMS is 13.
FMS14 changed menu bar to an icon, something like "Apple menu" in OSX.
Ah, apologies. Then I'm afraid I can't be anymore help, until I get my hands on an FM 14 server.
Have you tried putting buttons on your layout and see if those get you the desired result? Or attaching a script to the layouts to hide the bars, if it's not the admin logged in?
And sorry, but my Dutch is quite rusty.
this solved the problem!
Show/Hide Menu Bar may be what you want as a script step. It only works in IOS and Web Direct. This is not the same as Show/Hide Toolbar.
Give it a test drive.
