    Missing Undo

    lhallberg

Can anyone tell me if I'm wrong?

In FileMaker 14 Script Workspace you cannot undo:

      1. editing script steps
      2. editing inline calculations (such as If [ ... ] )
      3. editing calculation text in the new Specify Calculation dialog

      Please tell me I'm wrong.

There is no undo functionality in the Script Workspace.

Keep in mind there was never any undo functionality in the script builder environment so there is no lost functionality in FileMaker Pro 14.  With that said, I get that one with think that there might be undo functionality in the new Script Workspace with all the typing and keyboard usage you can perform now.  It is certainly a valid request.

The closest that the Script Workspace comes to any form of undo is closing a script with unsaved changes.  Ideal?  No.  But, better than nothing.

          A good feature request nonetheless.

Lost functionality: In FM Previous, the undo command was available in the Calculation Dialog, albeit it did not keep incremental history and returned the calculation to it's original saved state, which was helpful at times.  Now to return a calculation to the original state, one must close the dialog without saving and re-open it.

Thank you for posting the feature request... Undo is missed even more under the new text-editing capabilities of 14.

Mmmh... not sure it was useful, since it would do the same as click on [Cancel] button which is IMHO always a part of the dialog.

Anyways, FR sent in yet too .
