I always "opened the link in a new tab" in order to work around this, since i never tried to stroke a tab... and i was to laisy to report it .
Yes, very annoying.
In some cases ( different places where login is presented ) the cancel and login buttons are even reversed in position.
Good trick with the tab!!!
I usually cleared the password and entered it again.
Since some time I have the option "keep me logged in" on, and never had to look at it again.
I use chrome.... Safari has many problems, like for example: going from a youtube video to another one, you get
(if you press cmd-R it will eventually work i.e. load and run, but it's annoying).
There must be some security paranoia involved, and I hate guys that know what the best medicine for me is.
And sometimes, it says I'm logged in but I cannot reply or do other stuff that requires being logged in. After sometime, it works again after a new login attempt. Deleting browser cache and closing browser app does not help it.
Browser: Safari 8.0.6, Yosemite 10.10.3. with all updates.

Same problem here, although I use chrome on a mac and pc.
I usually select and type the last character in the password to save the time, as far as I remember, you can hit enter to login after that. I will try tabbing instead, but I agree, quite annoying bug in Jive.
I noticed this a while ago and thought I had to reenter my credentials every time. Then I realized that any entry in the user id or password enables the login. This is still annoying and should be fixed.
Hey Taylor, I'm going to move this to the Community Feedback forum. We have opened a case with our provider about this. We'll let you know if anything changes.
I have same thing on latest Firefox on Windows7.
When clicking in Username and select name form list, password is auto entered, then login button is stay disabled.
I add a char in password and delete it to enable login.
Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8 - Jive does not save the credentials at all, although it might be some security setting imposed by IT support. Latest Chrome is actually fine with login popup, but the drop-down lists do not work on the blue navigational bar at the top.
I have experienced the same thing using OS X 10.9.5 and Firefox (many versions). And it only takes a single keystroke to cause the button to activate; as Taylor noted, I use the tab key between fields. I reported this to Jive support a few months ago...who knows where that might lead.
