Did you upgrade your server or only the client?
Is your ODBC datasource still in lpace and working properly?
Did anything change on the other side?
Whe you say it works in FM13 do you mean “it worked” or are you still accessing the same server with FM 13 and 14 and it works in 13 but not 14?
Hope this helps,
This is a local FMP solution no server involved. It still works in 13 on the same machine. You can see the ODBC links as an option in FM14. FM14 just doesn't like that the MDBs do not have a username and password; something that was not an issue in previous revisions.
What if you specify "" or $null (a variable that is not set) instead of leaving the fields empty?
Is this Mac or Windows? If Windows, are you using the 64-bit version of FMP14?
YES!!! So I was running 64-bit. Microsoft has never updated the MDB drivers so they are 32-bit. Loaded fine in 32-Bit FileMaker. Thank you so much that was not even close to being on my radar.
You can install Microsoft MDB/Access drivers in either 32 or 64 bit guises. If you want both, you have to command line install it due to issues that may arise from using 32/64bit Microsoft Office applications. Check here for more info.
Surprisingly this worked. The MDB field is formatted for Access 97 which was a version that needed conversation in later revisions to run on anything newer than 2003. Probably can't write anything to it but I only require a read-only. Thanks for the information.
