Check whether FileMaker is the front-most application?

I have an onTimer script that I want to run periodically only if FileMaker is the active application. For example, if the user is checking their email I do not want FileMaker to pop up in front of Outlook.

In my scenario the user will have two or more windows open and I can limit the running of the script to run only when the relevant window is in front (GetValue(WindowNames;1)=$$theWindowName ), but cannot see any way of checking if FileMaker is the active application. The script refreshes the window content in part by activating layout objects and so will move the window to the front when it runs - this cannot be altered!

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks

Tim
