Back to the original question, is there (or is there going to be) a special place in Discussions for reporting issues? Howard's comment about blindly sending a blackbox form submission is very true: that's a huge step back from what we were able to do in the "Report An Issue" Forums. Reporting issues in the normal Discussion form isn't going to be useful, I think.

I'm planning to chip away at usability issues as time permits -- and freely acknowledge that placing "Report an Issue" under the heading "Places of Interest" on the home page isn't very intuitive. Likewise placing it under "OTHER DISCUSSION FORUMS" on the Discussion page.
Please stay tuned for incremental improvements in the UI. In the meantime, I appreciate your patience...

Could you try this again and let me know if you can reply to older threads now? I fixed a permissions issue earlier this morning that should help with this.
If this doesn't fix your issue, I want to be sure I understand it correctly -- in that case, let's discuss.

Viewing past issue reports:
Go to the home page and then choose "Report an Issue" from the lower right. Then choose the "Content" link from the purple "Report an Issue" header in order to see past threads.
Oh.
If FMI prefers issues to be submitted in a more structured way, perhaps you could put a suggested format or template in the "ABOUT THIS FORUM" area as seen here: FileMaker Product Management Q&A Topic Suggestions
Has this change been affecting the Known Issues database by philmodjunk?
That's a great idea. We'll consider a few alternatives.

P.S. I'll defer to philmodjunk on the degree to which this change may have impacted his db. We're having some sporadic problems with in-content links that we're working on that might also be causing his db problems, but hope to have this resolved soon.
