I have a client that would like to send pictures in a container field to other iOS apps like dropbox or instagram. Is someone out there doing this? Just curious. Thanks.
Yep, as has been suggested, doing an export (to TemporaryPath, and automatically opening) of the container field contents works well... You will then see the image full screen, and when tapped, you will see the 'share' button at the top right, which allows you to use the native iOS share sheet options...
See attached file which has a button which triggers a script to do just that...
Hope this helps,
I think the easiest way would be to export field contents and use native iOS "share" capabilities.
Top right corner on an iPad?
The advantages are:
1: Eliminate the need for FM code change in case an API changes, etc.
2: Let iOS handle security on the core level.
3: People are familiar with the workings of it as it's same behaviour throughout the OS.
Thanks, Electon and Skywillmott! This is helpful.
