      "Main Menu"

How do you tell Filemaker Pro 11 Advanced which layout to open first.  For example, I created a menu and I need it to open first.

      Thanks,

      Mike

Write an Opening Script that uses the "go to layout" script step and specify the layout. Under the File menu, select File Options and specify your script to execute when the file is opened. You can do a lot more with an opener script, such as sorting etc. RW

Usually you have more you want to do on open than just select the layout, thus using a script like Rick describes makes sense. If you truly have nothing else to do but select the layout, the same File Options dialog has a place where you can just specify the layout to bring up on file open without needing to run a script.

Thanks guys.  I know my questions are simplistic but I've been engrained in Micro. Acc. so long this has been a challenge.  I appreciate everything.
