A worthy handheld platform for FilemakerPro use in standup contexts

Post

I've asked here months back if anyone has tried a small handheld sized PC Tablet which works well as a Filemaker client platform... and no answers...

So I will answer it myself.

I have taken a gamble for a big project and bought a refurbed Samsung Q1.  The gamble paid off well.  This thing is absolutely ideal for a user context where they are standing and walking around while using a FilemakerPro application.  It has wifi, good screen res, the touch works well, a split qwerty keyboard (ok... it's tricky to use the keyboard in the dark) and a fiingerprint ID scanner that's very quick and reliable.  With a maxed sized layout on it the thing looks nice, polished and totally TURNKEY!!!   Perfect for a warehouse app, a physical inventory app, etc...:smileyhappy:

I have reviewed it further on the Filemaker Success Tips Podcast:

... which by the way is coming on on it's 1 year anniversary!  WOOHOO!

The review will likely be downloadable before DEVCON... where BTW Lee and I will be recording segments at a booth in the exhibit hall!!

Stop by!
