Adding blank registers to a list

      Post

Hello, I hope you can help me with this one ...

At the end of every month I need to add 'blank' registers
of all the active registers in the list, to that same list
just showing the item names and the date.

           TIA

And how is your table set up? What makes for a "blank register" in your database? What is a "register"?

Ahh. ... please read record for register

The basic table is... kp_WtsID, Name, Date, Weight

Every month we weigh those present in the previous months weighings

and add or delete members, (new/old), as necessary according to whether active

                 or not.

The new records need to be printed out as well as added to the table

'blank' record = kp_WtID, Name and a date.

The new records need to be printed out as well as added to the table

Table? A new record has already been added to a table or it would not be a record. Perhaps you mean "found set"?

You can perform a find to get a found set of all records where a specific field is empty by entering find mode and putting a lone = operator in the field. This can be done manually or in a script.

If you want to script it, see the examples of scripted finds in this thread: Scripted Find Examples
