Thank you for posting.
I tested your provided script and it appeared to run a "test" script that I created. I did notice that it will get the "Object not found error" if another database window is active in FileMaker Pro or if the script name doesn't quite match.
What happens if you try these alternatives?
Do Script FileMaker Script "test"
Do Script FileMaker Script 1
Do Script last FileMaker Script
These steps and more are from Knowledge Base article #4132:
Any additional information you can provide about your machine and FileMaker version may also help. I tested myself using the latest FileMaker Pro Advanced 11v2 on OSX 10.6.4.
tried those three "do" options: none worked
but, I created a test script and it does work IF the database which holds the script is the foremost window
so, the question becomes--- what is the wording for AppleScript to open that database and bring it foremost?
Please try a "show window" line:
tell application "FileMaker Pro Advanced"
show window "windowname"
do script "test"
It may also be possible to use an "open file" command to accomplish this.
