Title

auto-fill in one field based upon contents of another field

Post

I'd like to automate some of the data entry I do for inventorying computer equipment. Based on the selection of a drop down list, I'd like 4 other fields to auto-populate:

e.g. In the field named "Model", a drop down list contains "Elitebook 8440p". Once that is selected, I would like to have 4 other fields auto populate: "Manufacturer" field auto-populates with "Hewlitt Packard", "Processor Type" auto-populates with "Intel Core 2 Duo", "Processor Speed" auto-populates with "2GHZ" and "RAM" auto-populates with "2GB".

What's the easiest way this can be done and can you provide an example? (I'm not familiar with scripting/calculations, etc. but from what I've read this may be the direction I need to go).

THANKS!
