Automating Print to PDF

Automating Print to PDF

I am trying to get a layout from a database into PDF form and everything up to this point is automated through a Visual Basic  as well as scripts in Filemaker. While I can set a destination folder and file name in a script when I 'Save Records as PDF' the quality is poor in container fields. The workaround I have found is to 'Print to PDF' instead which fixes the poor quality. However, I cannot find a way to set a predetermined file name and path I want the PDF to be saved as when using this method it always brings up a prompt when saving the PDF. Ideally I would like to use a Set Variable step as I did with the 'Save as PDF' script but as far as I can tell that can't be done with the 'Print as PDF' function. Is there something I am missing here? Thanks.
