I have been repeatedly asked to implement a back button throughout our database. I was thinking of how to do this and came up with the following idea. I thought I would post it here to see if it creates too much overhead or if it could be improved upon. I thought I would use a layout exit trigger to capture the current layout number. That number would be stored either in a global field or a $$ type variable (I don't know which would be best). The back button would then go to the layout number stored in the global or variable. Does this sound workable?
