Best practice for custom dialog boxes in web client
I believe that custom dialog boxes (pop-ups) don't work in the web client. Are there any best practices to simulate this functionality in the web cilent? I'd, ideally, like the same code to work on the web, desktop and Go. I was thinking of using a layout with a box similar to the custom dialog for the web with code to determine the client and instanciate this or the custom dialog. Any experience with this out there?
Putting the same message in a text field is pretty much your only practical option for web clients. This text field usually has global storage specified. The text field might be strategically placed on the same layout or you may need to switch layouts in order to display the message.
