I'm looking at one of my layouts on a FMP 10, Windows XP system and I don't see any differences between the button in the first or subsequent portals. They're simple rectangular buttons with a "D" for delete.
Hmm, I'm using mac, created a rectangular button with and drew a small horizontal line to appear as a delete button. The button and line appear blurred, when viewed in portal rows.
Bummer, you cannot duplicate the problem, good for you, bad for me. This might mean it is something unique to my database or design.
oops sorry, FMP 10.0v3, Snow Leopard 10.6.2, Macbook Pro
"This might mean it is something unique to my database or design."
Or it might be the difference in operating systems.
Just to test as close to your description as I can, I tried again with a horizontal line like you describe and don't see any difference there either.
Can any mac (especially Snow Leopard) users replicate this on your systems?
Are the buttons blurred when pasting into a layout?
Is the portal row smaller (shorter) than the button height?
What font is used?
Are the outlines of the buttons blurred, or just the fonts?
If I create a new portal and insert the button all looks good. If I then alter the size of the portal (the height) then the buttons become blurred.

You seem to answer your problem in the above post...
If there is another question in your post, I do not understand.
