If you are saving a PDF, you have other options for viewing the PDF--such as an interactive container field. Do you get the same issues if you use one of these other methods to view the PDF?
A quick review of the Known Bugs List does not reveal any similar reports on this issue. You might want to report this as a bug in Report an Issue.
I think you misread our text. We dont view the pdf in FileMaker. We have a webview that we save AS A pdf. Then we open the pdf in Adobe Reader. There the text is blurry, image like on Windows. When we do the same on a Mac (save pdf), the pdf text is perfect.
When we open the pdf generated on windows in Adobe Illustrator we see that the text is an blurry image.
When we open the pdf generated on Mac in Adobe Illustrator we see that the text is still text.
I did in indeed misread your initial post. Now that the caffeine has kicked in, I can also find it in the Known Bugs List:
For More Information see: Web Viewer Printing Blurry
This is one of many acknowledged bugs that can be found in the Known Bug List thread here in the Report an Issue section of the forum.
It can also be downloaded as a database file from: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jt09b82i0xijbu3/FMP%20Bugs.zip
So its still a bug FileMaker 13 in Windows? Under Mac its fine!
Thank you for the update. The Known Bugs List is only as accurate as the people posting information to the Forum make it. It appears that the original poster was a mac user and thus reported back that FMP 13 fixed this issue for them, but no one had checked the issue on Windows. Normally, if the issue is corrected in one, you'd expect it to be corrected in the other, but this would appear to be an exception. I recommend opening a new issue report thread on this to make sure that FileMaker Inc doesn't consider this issue closed.
I have updated my systems to note that this is still an issue in Windows systems, but since mine are independent of FileMaker Inc. that doesn't reopen the case for FileMaker to add it back to their list of needed bug fixes.
Thx, hopefully FileMaker fixes it very soon. Really need this feature!
