In the Filemaker 10 Instant Web Publishing Guide:
If the Guest account and at least one other account that requires authentication both have the Instant Web Publishing extended privilege enabled, web users have the option to log in with the Guest account instead of an account name and password.
If the Guest account is the only account with the Instant Web Publishing extended privilege enabled, web users automatically log in with the Guest account, and they do not see the login page.
- The default privilege set for Guest accounts provides "read-only" access. You can change the default privilege in the Accounts tab of the Manage Accounts & Privileges dialog box. For more information, see FileMaker Pro Help.
How to bypass the IWP login page
Bypass Filemaker iwp login via url
I have read the IWP Publishing Guide and I have tried to follow everything it says.
I tried copying the URL from the acidsoft.net article you posted and replaced the bracketed info with my server and login info and I keep getting an error:
The server could not process your request due to a missing command: "".
I have triple-checked that I modified only the bracketed information.
I am truly sorry for all the fuss over something that is well documented, but I don't know what else to try.
Would you be willing to send me a test database with all the necessary settings in place so I can match my database settings to it? I am not sure if this matters but I have FileMaker Pro 8.5.
