Can a runtime application connect to back end tables?
I'm researching the design of a new database project which I plan on using as a runtime application. I have learned that once the database is converted into a runtime application, it cannot be shared over a network. But what about connecting that application to a shared non-runtime database?
For example. Can I create a "front end" runtime application and then connect that to "back end" data tables (the back end tables need NOT be in a runtime application but rather on a filemaker server)?
