Can a script set up an account and password?
I would like a new user to open a runtime and be asked what they wanted their account name and password to be.
Is there a way for a script to take their input and make an account for them?
If you check out the Script Steps listed in the Account category, you'll find you have script steps to do this. You'll need to add a (usually global) text field for them to use to enter account name and one (or two for confirmation) for the password. Since these scripts must run from a full access password, you'll need to click the "run with full access privileges" script option for each such script. Since each such script only updates access privileges for the current file, you'll need one such script for each file in your system and you'll need to use Perform Script to perform these scripts in the other files while passing the account name and password to these scripts as a script parameter.
Now is there a way to automatically (in the script) set the log in default to (the account just set up) so that the next time they log in they are automatically logged in as the new account.
I don't think that that option is available to you.
Thanks I appreciate your help.
