Yes, you can.
such type of files can be referenced or stored in a particular type of field: container.
Go to read more about it.
To expand on Daniele's suggestion...
You can set up a table of records where each record has a container field to store such items. You can then link this table to your existing table that logs the help calls so that you can attach as many images as you need to a single record. You can use a portal to display and edit such image records.
I've been trying to do this but even though the user account I'm using has full access, the insert object or insert image option are greyed out when in browse mode, so the only was I can see to attach anything like that is through layout mode where it will not be attached to an individual record.
I've created a table called 'ATTACHMENT' then a field in that record to attach it to the 'JOBS LOGGED' table as well as a couple of other fields e.i 'attachment1' and 'attachment2'.
Am I on the wrong path all together?
Did you click in the container field first?
I'd use Insert File for this, BTW...
The penny finally dropped as I didn't quite mean what you meant by container field, although now realise its a specific type of field.
Works perfectly now.
Thanks so much for your help!
