You cannot. But if you still have a .fp7 copy of your file, you can export your data from the .fmp12 file into tab, csv or merge files and then you can import the data into the .fp7 file so your associate can use that file. You can script this process and you can use import matching found set type imports to update existing records while also adding new records.
Definitely not a simple, one step process, but it does work. It's how I maintain a .fp7 copy of the Known Bugs List database.
