But you haven't to use the script step:
because it will not work on a pc.
I just tried to open my database on my windows machine and all I see is a folder name.app with lot's of files inside, not the executable that I know when open it on my mac. So this isn't the way to do it. How can I use my database windows?
Looks like you are trying to open a Filemaker RUNTIME compiled project, and not opening the actual.fp7 files using the application FilemakerPro?
Do you even have FilemakerPro or FilemakerProAdvanced on these machines?
IF not, solution will only work on the platform it was compiled for.
You need to have access to the original project file and make a runtime solution for the PC.
AND you will need to have FilemakerProAdvanced installed on each platform to make project into the appropriate runtime solution.
I only have the mac version though. No problem.
MAC version of what?
If you have copy of FMPA, you can install it on either platform.
