I'm surprised that your PO's are related to a client. It's more typically for POs to be store a foreign Vendor ID.
Anyway, yes, if you create a self-join relationship from PO to PO by ClientID, then you'll be able to add a portal using this relationship on the PO form. If you'd like to limit it to Open POs, then filter the portal (FM11 only) by flag_IsOpen (or whatever field tells you the PO status).
Thank you, this is what I was thinking… I did create a second table reference in the relationships and related customers to customers. I just cant seam to get it to operate that why I asked the question. I guess I need to spend a bit more time with it…
Just for reference, The reason for this is to prevent duplicate PO to be opened foe the same job.
A self join of this sort is pretty easy to set up.
What have you set up so far that doesn't work for you?
You can document relationships like this in text:
Tableoccurrence::Primarykey = TableOccurrenceForeignKey
Or you can click the edit link on your original post and upload a screen shot of the relationships graph.
