Don't share prices fluctuate constantly? Is it necessary to have a separate table to store share prices, as this would be out-of-date even a few seconds after it was updated? I could see using a separate table, based on stock symbol, to keep track of information related to the company the symbol represents, but price doesn't seem quite right.
I don't try to track prices minute by minute or even day by day. Using a seperate table for prices allows me to update prices from an internet download with a single entry for each stoc. With FM 5 I then updated the main table with a lookup. But I can't get anything to work with FM10 for some reason.
What are the exact names of the tables, and the fields used in the relationships? What names are given to the table instances in the Relationship Graph?
The graph links "Stock Symbol" in the Master table to "Stock Symbol " in the price table
Both tables have fields named "SH. PRICE" to contain the price of each stock.
